During the joint sauna shift for both women and men, you take a steam the traditional Finnish way in the atmosphere of a public sauna.
Saunas
Our two saunas serve different steam preferences. The bigger sauna can fit up to 15 people and offers a softer steam, whereas the smaller sauna (known as the vastasauna) fits 5 people and offers an experience for the lovers of a harder steam. You can pop from one sauna to the other as you please and after enjoying a relaxing steam, cool off on the outdoor terrace, which can be accessed directly from the sauna department.
Cold pool
In between steams you can take a dip in our temperature regulated cold pool designed to mimic an authentic ice hole swimming experience. You have one hour to enjoy the saunas and cold pool, including get-ready-time in the dressing room. If the shifts are not fully booked, there is no need to rush.
Swimwear
Since the joint sauna shift is for both women and men, the use of swimwear is mandatory.
Dressing room
There are 20 lockers with locks in our dressing room. The dressing room is shared by both women and men, but the space is divided with curtains; behind the curtain on the right is the women's side and behind the curtain on the left is the men's side.
Alcoholic beverages
All premises of Kankaan sauna have the permit to serve alcohol. Hence you can enjoy a beer or a glass of wine after the steam while cooling off on the terrace. Note that according to local alcohol legislation, you can not bring your own alcoholic beverages to our premises.
